FCC新增15.212章节，其内容除新增原本FCC public Notice DA 00-1407单一的发射器模块认证的要求外，亦增加了分离的发射器模块认证的规定，此15.212节将于2008年4月15日开始生效。对于分离的发射器模块认证部分，FCC考虑此为新的技术，目前只能由FCC来发证。

       对于15.212节单一的发射器模块及分离的发射器模块认证的要求说明如下：

       单一的发射器模块：
(1) have its own radio-frequency shielding
(2) have buffered modulation/data inputs to ensure that the device will comply with the Part 15 requirements with any type of input signal
(3) contain power supply regulation
(4) contain a permanently attached antenna or a unique antenna connector
(5) be tested in a stand-alone configuration
(6) be labeled with its own FCC ID
(7) comply with any specific rules applicable to the transmitter
(8) comply with RF safety requirements
